Apartment Review for The Grove Richland - Nashville, TN

This is the WORST apartment we've ever lived in. We moved here thinking that such a nice, but pricey, complex near work would be ideal for us. WRONG! Our apartment was near the lap pool, and even though they supposedly locked the pool at night, people would reach over, unlock the gate from the inside, get in and drink and party late at night on weekends. They even had to close the pool at one point because someone broke a wine bottle and threw thew the pieces in the pool. The NOISE level was unbelievable! One night I called security twice because TWO different groups of people had gotten into the pool area to party. Our neighbor, who also is an adult, said her upstairs neighbors partied at night on weekends and were so loud she couldn't sleep. The management did NOTHING to stop this. She finally broke her lease and moved out. We moved out ourselves a month before our lease was up just to get away from the noise. Of course we had to pay the last month's rent. Then there were the bugs! Huge centipedes crawled out of the drains! I would see them crawling around in the bathtubs, the bathroom sinks, and a couple times I saw them crawling across the floor and up the wall. This place also had silver fish! You would think for the price they charge for rent they could have sprayed for bugs. Parking near your apartment was also an issue, and if you were out at night at all, you could never get a parking place near your stairwell. To be fair, the place was gated, the grounds were well maintained, and it was very convenient to everything in the West End area. If you're a mature adult, and want to live in a peaceful, quiet community, don't move here. Inconsiderate is the nicest thing I can say about a lot of the tenants who lived here when we did.
