Don't Repeat my Mistake...
Review Date: 8/9/2006

First off, I realize that most of the people who write these reviews are a bit wacko and have had an atypical experience. When I moved in, a person was moving out and they said you do not want to move in here, it is horrible. But what did they know? I found this place and the location wasnt too bad so perhaps they just had unreasonably high standards. Sometimes it is good to heed the word of strangers; they might know what they are talking about.

Having said that, this place is horrible place to live. It might be okay if your only other option is to say in a refrigerator box, but only if the box had holes in it. The whole complex, while it appears new from the outside, is extremely old. Everything could use a new coat of paint. The carpets are worn beyond cleaning and Ive tried all those carpet scrubbing machines. The maintenance people are unreliable. You put a work order in and wait for a few days with no result. This in turn leads to a phone call to the office, the same office whose phones are often not working. The maintenance people will come and rig something up that will work for the time being and then never come back to fix it properly. This is why I was without heat for 5 days in December and why it took them 5 separate work orders to fix my A/C which still doesnt work very well. In order to fix my A/C they cut a 4 foot high by 2 foot wide hole in my walk-in closet. After they removed the drywall and completed the repair they closed the hole with black plastic and duct tape. This was 3 months ago. When my hot water heater stopped working in the winter it took them 3 days to correct that one. My front door has never sealed properly, which I informed them about when I moved in, so water comes in when it rains. Not to mention the fact that I let heat out in the winter and cooling out in the summer.

This leads me to the staff that work in the office. While they will placate you on the phone, they are less than competent. They seem to forget a lot. I signed a 6 month lease originally. When it was time to renew, I was just too lazy to move so I re-signed. I had to ask them 4 times to give me the page to sign before it was provided but I re-signed. This in retrospect was a dumb move on my part, but it was just easier to deal with these people then do the leg work to find new people. At the time, I was promised that they would have someone clean my carpets for me. As I have previously said, the carpets are beat, but I thought since it was free why not. These people never showed up. It has been 6 months.

I made a mistake living here. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.
